Someone who accidentally started the role in digital marketing and later in recruitment, it’s no surprise when they say – you don’t forget “first love”. In my case they became the core of my passion, push to explore new and always evolve with time. My first job taught me well about how the internet and search work way back in 2003 when I was introduced to the world of SEO & digital marketing. I get a call from a recruitment process outsourcing company to become an internet researcher for recruitment services when I didn’t even know it was part of HR. My journey in the first few years taught me loads about the power of digital, evangelizing new mindsets, innovation & recruitment. As the world went into a financial crisis, I had to find a new calling when I entered the world of corporate HR. The world of “social media” fascinated me and opened so many opportunities to break the shackles of traditional recruitment sourcing processes which never made me curious! After my initial stint in leadership hiring, I requested my boss to build a new social recruiting function and find new ways of hiring. Thanks to my amazing bosses over the years, I got an opportunity to evolve from social recruiting to talent branding and now expanding my horizons to employee engagement. Better Employee Experience to enhance engagement, which leads to an authentic/attractive brand. Period! My passion for digital, employer branding and people experiences is what makes me who I am.
