In the movie #Ratatouille, the famous chef Gusteau always used to say “Anyone can cook”. Of course, his next-in-line sous chef never believed it as the traditional thinking says a good chef needs to come from certain backgrounds and characteristics.

In the final scenes of the movie, this da Vinci code was finally cracked when it was well understood that a great cook can come from anywhere. Anyone can cook but only the fearless can be great.

This is a great lesson for diversity and inclusion where we normally have our own biases about where good talent comes from. If you are not open to looking beyond the obvious, you will miss out on great talent like “Remy”.

Not anyone can become a great candidate but a great candidate can come from anywhere! What is your secret sauce for a great Ratatouille?
