#Bengaluru — The City that brews ideas and innovation!

It’s been 3+ months since I’ve relocated to Bangalore. Although I’ve mixed feelings about the food, cafes have become one of my most interesting places.

Not because of the food but rather because of food for thought. Last evening, I wanted a change of scenery to do some creative writing and thinking, and I went to one of the Chaayos outlets in HSR Layout in Bengaluru. The guy sitting next to me was actively listening to someone who was discussing her problem about building a brand and reaching a certain target audience. In a few minutes, this person switched his seat and went to meet someone else who was waiting for his turn to meet him. Again, he did the same thing — just listened most of the time while offering some advice about the problem.

In my mind, I tagged this person as a startup consultant, although what I really admired was his listening and understanding skills than talking. #Bengaluru, for me, is a city where ideas brew at every cafe, pub, and mixer. Of course, you will find gyaani babas and gurus everywhere, but the ecosystem is so distinct from any other city that it is no wonder it has the most tech startups and entrepreneurs. Beyond limited infrastructure and traffic challenges — it has not discouraged people from coming in and scaling ideas to reality (Shamelessly plugging ShareChat’s employer brand).

BTW, on the same evening, I found a place that has authentic Puneri Vada pav, so my love for Pune has not taken a hit, but it’s important to understand the pulse of any city and people. That has kept me going in a new city all this while.
