Reviving Connections: The Unforgettable Journey of TASCON 2025 in Pune
Bringing TASCON to the Pune TA community in 2025 was one of the most rewarding experiences in a year full of ups and downs. In many ways, it felt like a “Ghar-Wapsi” for TASCON and myself, with the community making us feel connected and cherished.
The memories of our first TASCON at Esta (now Hyatt) in Pune in 2015 are still vivid. Back then, a few of us at Recruiting Adda dreamed of creating an event where grassroots-level recruiters felt welcomed and connected beyond the usual leadership gatherings. I remember leaving the hotel preparations at 2 AM, only to return at 6:30 AM. This year’s TASCON had a similar spirit.
The journey was challenging, especially during COVID and this year. Although I announced the dates at the last TASCON, we were uncertain about proceeding with 2024 until Q3 for various reasons. The engagement and love from our TA community kept us going. Whenever we hit rock bottom, the core committee reminded ourselves of our purpose and why TASCON was organized.
On December 5th, despite all the challenges in organizing, designing sessions, scouting speakers, marketing, and everything in between, seeing attendees fill the hall beyond capacity confirmed our purpose was well-placed. Since last Thursday, the surge of LinkedIn posts, tags, and new connections I’ve made confirms that we struck a chord. Despite fluctuations in TA community and business sentiments, the hugs, smiles, high-fives, and handshakes at the event truly uplifted our community spirit.
This TASCON was indeed special. Whether it was Yusuf giving the longest speech on stage, ringing bells in the hallway to gather people, Mitch and the team managing the crowd influx at registration, Anshuman innovating with speed connect, Jashan charming the audience with his number-nuggets, Tatyasaheb wowing the audience with his AI magic wand, or Sachin single-handedly managing all registrations and relationships, numerous memorable moments could fill a book.
Though much gratitude has already been expressed, I want to specifically thank our core team/taskforce/emcee team members who ensured all attendees had a seamless experience. A big kudos and thanks to all the sponsor partners, without whom this event would remain merely a plan on paper. I can’t count all the friends and well-wishers in the TA community who shared our vision (I might not be able to tag everyone, but you know who you are).
Thank you for reading this long note. As someone mentioned, TASCON is not just another event but an emotion, and we are grateful for the strength of the recruiting community. We count on you to continue your support and engagement beyond this event.
